MiniNotificator is an experimental web application built with ASP.NET Core and Razor Pages, designed to explore integration with App IO, the public services app managed by PagoPA.

The goal is simple but concrete: given a tax code, the app checks whether the citizen is registered on App IO and, if the service is active, sends an official notification through the government APIs.

What it does

  • Validates the tax code

Checks the format against Italian rules and automatically normalizes the value to uppercase before sending it to the APIs.

  • Checks the citizen's profile

Queries the App IO APIs to determine whether the user exists, can be reached, and has activated the service.

  • Sends official notifications

Delivers messages to authorized recipients through the PagoPA infrastructure.

  • Shows service information

Displays a banner with the organization, service name, and runtime environment (sandbox or production), retrieving the data from the PagoPA Manage API.

  • Provides real-time diagnostics

Includes a terminal-style log panel that traces API calls, useful for analyzing authentication errors, such as 403, and request errors, such as 400.

Why it's interesting

The project reduces the App IO integration to its essential flow: citizen verification, service check, and notification delivery.

It is not meant to be a complete product, but a practical reference for understanding how to interact with the App IO APIs, observing the responses from the PagoPA infrastructure, and debugging the most common cases.

It is especially useful when you want to see what really happens between the application, the APIs, and the public service, without hiding the process behind too many layers of abstraction.
